How to talk about art? It is crucial for artists yet a hard task to talk about their own art projects. This was a main concern being discussed in my teaching of artistic photography at Folkwang University of the Arts, including deep dives through alumni talks within the seminar.

How do I deal with the space? Ways of incorporating space and spacial concepts into one's artwork was one corner stone of the seminar taking place in summer 2025. Another point of discussion was the impact of light on the reception of artworks in exhibition spaces.

The foundation for the ongoing Orbit project was laid in the winter semester of 2024/2025. In addition to the first three openings in the new exhibition space, excursions within the art scene of North Rhine-Westphalia were also undertaken with the students.
