    Lecture: Lu Märten – Art as Work

    Lu Märten (1879 – 1970), a self-taught writer and art theorist, explored the connections between socioeconomic conditions and artistic creation early in her career. In this lecture at VHS Essen, I will provide an overview of her work and highlight just how forward-thinking her ideas were. Admission is free; registration is available through VHS Essen. The lecture will be in German.

  • Orbit won its first prize!

    Larissa Zauser and I won the Deubner Projectpize 2026 which I accepted on behalf of our team on February 25 in Munich. The award ceremony took place on the opening evening of the biannual congress of the German Association of Art History (Deutscher Verband für Kunstgeschichte).

  • Curatorial Fellowship 2026 at Künstlerhaus Lukas

    In 2026 I am a curatorial scholarship recipient at Künstlerhaus Lukas. During this time, I am developing and realizing this year’s summer exhibition at the Neues Kunsthaus Ahrenshoop.
